Personal Services

Personal Home Care Aides, Attendants and Companions Provide Non-Medical Assistance and Medical Assistance. 
Here’s an overview of all we do

Medication reminders bathing assistance, dressing assistance, shaving assistance, hair care, oral hygiene and intact skin care, assistance with tooth brushing and denture care, assistance with incontinent care and toileting. Ambulation and transfer assistance may be given using moderate physical assistance, verbal cues and stand by assist to ensure safety Meal planning, preparation and clean-up. We assist with light housekeeping, vacuuming and mopping, dusting, cleaning bathroom and kitchen surfaces washing dishes. Seasonal chores Salting snow/ice covered areas, shoveling walkways only, lawn mowing, raking leaves, trimming hedges, planting flowers or small shrubs Laundry assistance with personal and environmental safety (i.e. checking water temperature, participating in emergency drills), checking smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, rearranging physical environment. Escort to community activities assistance with shopping and running errands Assistance with correspondence and bill payment, addressing and stamping envelopes, mailing items, and writing personal letters Transportation

Companion Services

Duties May Include

Washing dishes, laundry and ironing, light cleaning, mopping and vacuuming Changing bed linens, watering plants, preparing meals grocery shopping, recreational activities, such as taking walks, playing games and reading, performing miscellaneous errands, taking care of pets, and taking the client to appointments

Peace of Mind Sitter Services

It is impossible to be with older family members every minute of the day, EXCEPTIONAL Homecare will help. We can monitor your loved one while they are in the hospital so that you can get some respite. EXCEPTIONAL Homecare staff are available 24 hours a day to give you the peace of mind that your loved one is not alone. Services can typically be provided in the following facilities: Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC) Assisted Living Centers EXCEPTIONAL Homecare Staff can help your loved one while they are in facilities, and then provide assistance when they transition back home.

Veteran Services

Did your loved one or their spouse serve in the U.S. military? If so, they may be eligible for home care benefits from the Veterans Administration.
